BMW Land Dispute to Be Settled in Court

We request for acceleration from BPKD and BPN to get the dispute settl ed in court

The dispute over landownership of BMW Park as wide as 15 hectares has to be resolved by Jakarta Finance Management Board (BPKD) and National Land Agency (BPN). Later, the court will decide which party has the rights for the land.

“We request for acceleration from BPKD and BPN to get the dispute settled in court,” stated Head of Jakarta Sports and Youth Department, Ratiyono, Friday (5/23).

BMW Park Land will Be Fenced this Wednesday

According to Ratiyono, from seven land lots as wide as 26 hectares, only two lots as wide as 11.5 hectares already have certificates, while the rest five lots as wide as 15 hectares are still in dispute. Therefore, his party asks for the dispute to be settled in court. Moreover, Jakarta Sports and Youth Department also fully devolves this matter to developer that has obligation to submit social and public facilities.

“If problems were found, it will be finished by developer that gives it to us, in this case is PT Agung Podomoro. This is because the handover report stated that the land submitted to regional government is not in dispute and not in collateral. If problems emerged in the future, the party responsible to resolve it is the Second Party,” he uttered.

To prevent problems from emerging in the future, Ratiyono added, his party has installed landownership plate around BMW Park.

“We also installed plates of the stadium’s picture and city’s ownership rights. A total of six plates were installed,” he informed.

For information, the certified land lots have been installed using excavator belongs to Public Works Department. Nevertheless, overall construction will be conducted after the auction winner is announced. At this time, Goods and Services Procurement Unit (ULP) is holding the auction process. The budget to build BMW Stadium reaches Rp 1.2 trillion. But for this year, only Rp 50 million is budgeted, because the construction is using multi-year system and is estimated to finish in three years.
